A graduate of Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado summa cum laude and University of Baltimore Law School magna cum laude, Michael has been practicing law since 2011. He specializes in handling workers’ compensation and personal injury cases.
A member of the Virginia and Maryland Bars, Michael has been admitted to practice in all state courts in Virginia and Maryland, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He has enthusiastically represented many injured clients in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases to settlement and verdict. In many instances, Michael has handled both workers’ compensation and third party liability cases arising from the same incident. This experience has allowed him to understand the complicated interplay between workers’ compensation and personal injury cases.
Michael has successfully argued cases on appeal before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and the Court of Appeals of Virginia. He enjoys legal argument, and he will tirelessly pursue creative angles to secure benefits on behalf of his clients. Michael is also an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group, and American Association for Justice.
Earlier in his career, Michael handled a wider variety of legal matters, though he is now enjoying the narrower focus of advocating on behalf of injured workers. Originally from Delaware, Michael has made Richmond, Virginia his home. While not working, he enjoys worldwide travel, sports, hiking, and spending his time with his family.
