A graduate of St. Lawrence University and Syracuse University Law School, Andy has been practicing law since 1980. He specializes in handling workers’ compensation and social security disability cases.
A member of the D.C., Maryland and Virginia Bars, he is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA), a long time board member and past chair of its workers’ compensation section. Additionally, his involvement also includes the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR), the Richmond Bar Association and the American Association of Justice (AAJ). In 2010, Andy was recognized as a Leader in the Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. This award honors lawyers statewide who set the standard for other lawyers in Virginia. He is also active in Medicare and Workers’ Compensation legislature serving as an advocate for injured workers.
Andy is also a long time board member of WILG, serves as a past president and is a member of the WILG Executive Committee. WILG is a National Organization of attorneys who represent injured workers. It has attorney member in each of the 50 states. He regularly writes articles and lectures on topics relating to his areas of specialty.
Andy recently became a founding member of the Virginia Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court. The Virginia Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court will serve as a statewide lawyers association designed to enhance the professional and ethical quality of legal practice in the community.
