Helping Virginia’s Food Banks
The Law Offices of Wesley G. Marshall, PLC will be participating in the 5th Annual "Legal Food Frenzy" to benefit Virginia's food banks April 4-15, 2011.
Our employees will collect food and monetary contributions at our office and our homes to help make a difference in the lives of hungry families in our area.
Locally, the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank provides food for 5,000 men, women and children through its network of 76 food pantries. Many families are facing food crises for the first time due to unemployment or reduced work hours, foreclosures, illness or an uninsured health crisis, and family upheaval. And while the need has increased, donations have dropped.
To help fight hunger in our community, stop by our office with your donation. We have a drop box for canned and boxed food (no glass containers, please). Monetary contributions are also welcome - for each dollar given, the food bank can provide 4 pounds of food or 3 meals! Make checks payable to "Fredericksburg Area Food Bank."
